Adoption UK (Registered charity number 1160647) has supported the adoption community for over 50 years. Through our campaigning work and support services, we provide opportunities for children and young people unable to live with their birth parents and ensure that their future is not determined by their past. Between the 29th November to the 6th December 2022, Adoption UK will be hosting an online Christmas Market, encouraging our community to shop independent and make a big difference to family run, independent businesses across the UK. Funds derived from the Christmas Market will directly support our Chance to Thrive programme and make a difference to the lives of adopted young people. Last year 46% of adopted young people sought professional mental health support. AUK’s Chance to Thrive youth programme addresses mental health issues in adopted young people through connections to peers in safe environments and specialist support. The Christmas Market will run in conjunction with The Big Give, a match funding platform, meaning any donations received between the 29th November to the 6th December will be doubled, providing vital funds to continue supporting the charity. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can so we can support even more young people! The Christmas Market will therefore be heavily publicised particularly within this week! We will encourage our audiences to buy their Christmas gifts with you via the Adoption UK website and social media posts. Thus, supporting your business and Adoption UK at the same time. Adoption UK’s members and community will be encouraged to shop with you. The Christmas Market would feature on our website (which receives 10,000 visits a week), social media channels (combined audience of 40,000) and through our membership newsletter (which goes out to 8,000 members).
